While for many people the cost of living is rising while wages are lagging behind, fossil fuel companies are getting abundant support from the government. How much support do these fossil companies get and in which form(s)? And what can we do to change this and initiate a fair transition to a fossil-free future?

Terwijl het leven voor veel mensen duurder wordt en de lonen onvoldoende stijgen, krijgen fossiele bedrijven rijkelijk steun van de overheid. Hoeveel steun ontvangen deze fossiele bedrijven, en in welke vorm(en)? En wat kunnen wij daaraan doen om dit te veranderen en een rechtvaardige transitie naar een fossielvrije toekomst in te zetten?

When Spain and the Netherlands – the birthplace of the ECT – signalled their intention to withdraw from the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT), the dominoes began to fall, with France, Germany, Slovenia and Luxembourg also following suit. This culminated with a vote in the European Parliament on 24 November, where a majority with more than 100 votes difference chose to ditch the treaty.
