    El domingo 21 de abril ha sido un día histórico. El pueblo ecuatoriano votó masivamente por el NO en la pregunta del referéndum sobre si el Ecuador debía volver al arbitraje. El gobierno de Noboa perdió de forma rotunda en la Pregunta D, donde cerca del 65% de los ciudadanos votaron en contra. Ecuador se mantiene entonces fuera de este mecanismo de solución de controversias entre inversores y Estado (ISDS por su sigla en inglés), pasados ya siete años de haber terminado todos los tratados internacionales que incluían el arbitraje.

    April 21st was an historic day. The Ecuadorian people resoundingly rejected an attempt to return Ecuador to international arbitration. Nearly 65% of citizens voted against “Question D”, to the disappointment of the Noboa government. Ecuador thus remains outside this investor-state dispute settlement mechanism (ISDS), seven years after having terminated all international treaties that included arbitration.
