We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on and organised Operations Coordinator who will ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation. If you’re someone who loves making things run like clockwork and enjoys being part of a small and friendly team, we would love to hear from you. 

You’ll work closely with the Executive Director making sure everything behind the scenes is in tip-top shape. You will be part of the Director’s Management Team, alongside the Programmes and Communications coordinators. With your team of six people, and external support services, you’ll have a big impact on ensuring a transnational organisation functions well.

We have an average annual budget of € 4.5 million and a payroll staff of 27 FTE. We also own the building in which our offices are located, renting space out to five other organisations.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Personnel - optimal staffing, and the development and implementation of personnel policy
  • Office - the smooth running of the office, ICT systems and internal information management systems
  • Finance - day-to-day financial matters, including management of overhead budgets
  • Quality management - assuring quality management systems
  • Building - the building is well maintained, relations with tenants are well managed, and all relevant regulations are adhered to

Job requirements

  • At least 7 years experience in a similar position
  • EU work permit is required
  • Experience with strategic management and change processes
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with line management, familiarity with Dutch labour laws
  • Excellent process and people management skills
  • Excellent command of the English and Dutch languages
  • Strong affinity for TNI’s vision, mission and values
  • A degree in management, business administration would be desirable
  • A good understanding of (open source) ICT systems would be desirable

Employment conditions

TNI follows the Industrial Wage Agreement for the Welfare sector (CAO Welzijn) in The Netherlands. We would offer:

  • 5 days per week, 36 hours (1 FTE)
  • One year contract (with possibility of renewal)
  • Start: 1 January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
  • Salary: € 3,800 to € 4,500 gross per month, negotiable depending on years of experience
  • 70% employer contributions to a collective pension fund
